(English Below)

Target Completion: Originally planned to finish the whole sandbag structure within one month by 3-5 people. However, we could only arrange 2 people to work on it for most of the time and so we could only finish til halfway. It was a pity.

Working Process: Construction work was quite smooth despite all the difficulties we encounter such as lack of manpower, rainy weather, no electricity nor water at work site, hard to find tools in nearby small towns ... We were able to somehow cope with all the problems and moved forward. Using only simple tools (shovels and hoes), working with natural material - earth, without machines nor cement, things are slow but it was a very enjoyable process, a wonderful experience, even addictive. Days of shoveling earth make you humble before our nature, make you calm in your heart. Good times.

Comments about earthbag dome (so far): The design and construction of Earthbag dome is simple but profound, flexible but strong, low-tech and require nothing fancy. It can be built in harsh environments, with little resources and manpower. The idea was conceived by architect Nader Khalili when he was asked by NASA to design shelter to be built on the moon. Nice idea indeed. The load is distributed so the structure is forgiving for beginners like us lacing in experience and skills. Still, the walls we built felt so thick and strong and immovable.

Special Thanks to:
- Owners of the organic farm Mr Kao and Mr. Peng for their support of this project
- Farmers who cooked our daily meals
- MK without whom this project wouldn't be possible- Volunteers who came help. Was a big support and encouragement.
